About
I’ve had a passion for photography since I was a child. Many people can say that though. I can remember playing in the back yard with my 110 film camera snapping pics of anything that dared to appear in front of the lens. The good news for me is that not much has changed. To this day, I am still passionate about photography. This passion has allowed me to distinguish myself as a photographer. Though I still learn new techniques through research and lesson, my focus is on my subject and capturing the moment.
As you will see after viewing my artistic work, I like to focus on details. When photographing “things” I like to present the details that make them unique. I like to present things in a way that will make you take notice of something that you might otherwise ignore. This is probably why I get those “why is he taking a picture of that?” looks.
When I photograph people, I want them to be comfortable. I want to show them in the real world and not in an artificial environment. I have found that it is much easier for people to let their true selves come out in the photos this way. Children are especially more at ease when they are out in the open. This is why I like to let kids be kids in their photographs.
Thank you for taking the time to view this collection of work. It is my hope that after viewing my work, you will think of me the next time you require photographic services. My attention to detail will ensure that you get the images you want and need for your next project. Please note that any of the images in the fine art or commissioned galleries are available for purchase as a print. Please send me an e-mail at contact@photosbydk.com to inquire about print purchases or to contract my services.
Sincerely,
Darrell Klein
